I grew up playing Final Fantasy and watching Power Rangers. Then one day I sat down to watch a programing block called "Toonami" and my life was never the same. It exposed me to Anime and later inspired me to write my first fanfic. That lead to fanfiction.net and more writing. One night I thought, 'I'll write my own story from scratch. I'll be a published author.' The next day I began the first chapter of what would become my debut novel, "A Mage's Power".
The series takes place on a world called "Tariatla". There monsters are a fact of life and magic is a widely practiced skill known as 'magecraft'. My goal was to deconstruct the fantasy worlds that existed in the video games I played as a child ( and for which I am eternally in artistic debt to Square Soft/Enix for their wonderful titles.) I wanted to create a world that a reader could accept as a 'real world with magic' instead of a 'magical world'.
I am very much into world building and figuring out exactly how a 'real life' magic system would work or how monsters could exist and how a human society would cope with them. In fact, I took a two month long break from writing "A Mage's Power" to work out precisely these details. It is my personal motto that 'worlds exist in details' and I want mine to be fully formed and vivid in the reader's mind.
As you can tell by now, I prefer fantasy stories with science fiction a close second. I've tried to write realistic fiction in the past but it always mutates into fantasy during conception. This is my territory and I'm happy here.
Ok just a recommendation. Create a facebook page. Then people like me can like your page and get your name out and your books out there. Also I plan on making a review on Amazon. Keep on keeping on.

The poetry you'll meet in this collection will be biting, defensive, cynical and sarcastic. Dark humour is used to elaborate upon bleak life outlooks. At many times the spirit in these poems are rooted in antonymous rebellion. All that said, the reader will also encounter various instances synonymous with the proverbial "light at the end of tunnel".

Thank you for the extended and polite query post. However, cynical poetry is not my thing. Good luck with your future writing.
